Ro Simmons:

Ro has also joined the team after taking part in sessions when he was younger.

Ro helps out during our football camps, offering not only his coaching abilities but also his amazing photographic and digital design skills.

About us

Harry Varnal-Smith:

Harry has recently joined the team, after participating in Katie's sessions when he was younger.

Harry also just joined Whitstable U23s for the upcoming season.

Alfie Wealands:

Alfie has been with the team for a few years, however  is currently working a full-time job elsewhere but he is always reliable when needed. 

He is a fun and friendly coach who also plays for Mersham Cricket team in his spare time.

Josh Cleaver:

Joshi coaches our TSS football, School & 1-2-1 sessions.

Josh started off his football career at TSS when he was 5 years old and is now playing for Hythe Town U23s.​

Sam Cleaver:

Sami also coaches our TSS football sessions.​

Katie has known Sami since he was 3 years old, watching and coaching him throughout his footballing journey so far.

He now plays for Kennington U18s KYL.

Katie Wellstead:

Katie "the boss" is the owner of Technique Soccer and leads many of our sessions.

She has many years of football experience both playing for Charlton Athletic and Gillingham Women, and coaching for over 15 years.

Katie is also a graduate in Sports Science from Canterbury Christ Church University.

Our dedicated programs are designed to cater to children of all skill levels.

We offer engaging sessions for children from walking to 11 years old. If your child is just starting out or looking to enhance their skills, TSS will be able to help.​

Technique Soccer School (TSS) was formed in 2013 by Charlton Athletic Women’s player Katie Flack.
We run after school clubs in schools, as well as evening and weekend classes at our sites in Hamstreet and Ashford, with 300 boys and girls who attend our sessions.
Since launching TSS we have a number of players who have, and are currently, playing for professional clubs (Gillingham / Charlton / Chelsea).
TSS aims to achieve the best start in football for toddlers up to 12 year olds.
Our TSS coaching team are fully qualified to FA Level and hold all the relevant qualifications as being members of the FA.

Charlie Wealands:

Charlie is a multi-talented coach and goalkeeper.

Charlie has been coaching for over 5 years, and is also currently playing for Holmesdale FC.
